Streaming on Netflix now. Pretty creepy documentary that focuses on the phenomenon of sleep paralysis. Detailing the stories of 8 individuals that had or do suffer from sleep paralysis, The Nightmare draws parallels between the sufferer’s experiences and the common observance of the “shadow man”. Told through a series of well done and quite scary re-enactments, the documentary focuses on the sufferer’s stories and attempts to explain their sleep paralysis and just briefly touches on more physiological and or spiritual/supernatural explanations.
