31 Days of Horror 2013 – Day 18

31 Days of Horror 2013 Day 18Located just outside of Birch Run, the Junction Valley Railroad Halloween Spook Train has been chugging along now for 30 years.  The ride takes you on a 2 mile, 22 minute jaunt though a plethora of Halloween scenes ranging from rather creepy to laugh out loud funny.  You’ll pass through cemeteries, laboratories of mad scientists, gypsy camps, a 100 foot tunnel and even a pirate cove all the while being chased by chainsaw wielding madmen.

Afterwards there are donuts, hot chocolate and cider and popcorn as well as “I Survived The Junction Valley Railroad Halloween Spook Train” t-shirts.

The Halloween Spook Train has become a yearly tradition around Jack’s Attic and each year it seems to be getting better and better.  It is well worth the $9.50 admission fee and up to 40 minute wait to board the train.  Just make sure to bring cash and some warm clothes.
