31 Days of Horror – Day 9: The Junction Valley Railroad Halloween Spook Train

31-Days-of-Horror-2015-9Located just outside of Birch Run, the Junction Valley Railroad Halloween Spook Train has been chugging along now for 32 years.  The ride takes you on a “spooktacular” 2 mile, 22 minute jaunt though a plethora of Halloween scenes ranging from rather creepy to laugh out loud funny.  You’ll pass through cemeteries, over bridges, trestles and pass through an eerie 100 foot pitch black tunnel.  The “live” spooks range from demented dentists, leering clowns and chainsaw wielding madmen.

Afterwards there are donuts, hot chocolate and cider and popcorn as well as “I Survived The Junction Valley Railroad Halloween Spook Train” t-shirts.

The Halloween Spook Train has become a yearly tradition around Jack’s Attic and each year it seems to be getting better and better.  It is well worth the $9.75 admission fee and up to 40 minute wait to board the train.  Just make sure to bring cash and some warm clothes.
