The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014)
From IMDb: “What starts as a poignant medical documentary about Deborah Logan’s descent into Alzheimer’s disease and her daughter’s struggles as caregiver degenerates into a maddening portrayal of dementia at its most frightening, as hair-raising events begin to plague the family and crew and an unspeakable malevolence threatens to tear the very fabric of sanity from them all.”
A surprisingly well done “documentary style” horror movie with some genuinely creepy and downright terrifying sequences. The storyline and acting are well above average with some particularly outstanding performances from Jill Larson and Anne Ramsay.
A highly recommended movie for the Halloween season that reminds me of The Last Exorcism with elements of The Exorcist and The Blair Witch Project thrown in. Check it out on Netflix.
